Pressure Control Solenoid C
General fault on pressure control solenoid C — third pressure regulator in transmissions with multiple independently regulated hydraulic circuits (line pressure, clutch C, torque converter clutch). The TCM detects an electrical or hydraulic anomaly that has not yet been pinned to a specific failure mode.
Affected components
- Pressure control solenoid c
- Valve body
Common causes
- High likelihood: Solenoid electrical or hydraulic fault
Possible symptoms
- Check engine or transmission warning light on
- Harsh, delayed, or missing shifts
- Possible limp mode (locked in one gear)
- Slipping or shuddering during gear changes
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
