Drive Motor A Position Sensor Circuit Overspeed

The drive motor A rotor position sensor reports a circuit overspeed fault. Phase commutation cannot be controlled reliably.

Common causes

  • High likelihood: Rotor position out of expected range
  • Medium likelihood: Position signal lost - default to overspeed indication

Possible symptoms

  • EV/hybrid system warning light on

  • Possible limp mode or vehicle shutdown
