Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage Isolation Sensor Circuit High
The ECM detects a circuit high fault on the hybrid/ev battery voltage isolation sensor circuit. Reading cannot be used reliably for control.
Affected components
- Hv battery voltage isolation sensor
- Wiring harness
- Bms
Common causes
- High likelihood: Signal wire shorted to B+
- Medium likelihood: Open sensor
- Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance
Possible symptoms
- EV/hybrid system warning light on
- Reduced power output or limp mode
- Charging may fail or be slowed
- Reduced electric range
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- Reduced-power or limp mode may occur
