Auxiliary Cooling Coolant Temperature Sensor A Circuit High

The ECM detects a high fault on the auxiliary cooling coolant temperature sensor a circuit. Reading cannot be used reliably for control.

  • Wiring harness

Common causes

  • High likelihood: Signal wire shorted to B+
  • Medium likelihood: Open sensor
  • Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance

  • The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
  • Reduced-power or limp mode may occur
