Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor B/C Voltage Correlation
The "B" and "C" channels of the throttle or pedal sensor disagree beyond tolerance — the ECU cannot trust either signal and reverts to limp-home.
Affected components
- Accelerator pedal sensor
- Pedal sensor wiring
Common causes
- High likelihood: Track B or C worn
- Medium likelihood: Connector corroded with leakage
Possible symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Reduced throttle response, possible limp mode
- Hesitation or surging
- Idle too high or too low
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- This code can affect emissions
- A drive cycle may be required after repair
