EGR Vent Control Circuit/Open
The drive circuit of the EGR vent solenoid is open — the solenoid releases vacuum from the EGR actuator. Open circuit means the EGR cannot reset its position.

- Egr vent solenoid
Common causes
- High likelihood: Solenoid winding open
- Low likelihood: Pin pushed back out of connector body
- Low likelihood: Cracked solder joint inside the module or sensor
Possible symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Pinging or knocking under load
- Power loss and hesitation
- Possible rough idle
- Failed emissions inspection (NOx)
