Injector Control Pressure Erratic
ICP signal is unstable or jumps — connector or sensor issue, or air in the high-pressure oil rail. A flow-deviating injector throws off cylinder balance — adjacent cylinders run leaner/richer to compensate, often masking the root cause until the trim limit is hit.
Affected components
- Injector control pressure sensor
Common causes
- High likelihood: Air in HP oil rail
- Low likelihood: Connector with intermittent contact under vibration
- Low likelihood: Harness routed against vibrating component
