Camshaft B Position Signal Output Circuit High Bank 1

Same as P23EB on cam B bank 1. Wiring faults of this kind typically come from chafing, water ingress at connector seals, or pin push-back — a wiggle test on the harness while the code is active often confirms the location.

Affected components

  • Cam position signal b b1 output

Common causes

  • High likelihood: Output line shorted to supply
  • Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance
  • Low likelihood: Supply wire pinched against B+ source

Possible symptoms

  • Check engine light on
  • Power loss especially in mid-rpm range
  • Possible rough idle or stalling
  • Increased fuel consumption
