Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit Open Bank 2 Sensor 5
A general circuit fault is detected on the EGT sensor at bank 2 sensor 5 (typically just downstream of the turbo or before the catalyst). The ECU loses thermal protection feedback for the catalyst and DPF.

Common causes
- High likelihood: Open in sensor or wiring
- Low likelihood: Pin pushed back out of connector body
- Low likelihood: Cracked solder joint inside the module or sensor

- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
