Supercharger Disconnect Clutch Circuit High

Voltage on the supercharger clutch control line is above the expected window. Typical causes are a short to battery or an open coil that lets the driver float high.

Affected components

  • Supercharger clutch
  • Clutch solenoid
  • Wiring harness

Common causes

  • High likelihood: Control wire shorted to a B+ supply
  • Medium likelihood: Open clutch coil
  • Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance

Possible symptoms

  • Check engine or transmission warning light on
  • Harsh, delayed, or missing shifts
  • Possible limp mode (locked in one gear)
  • Slipping or shuddering during gear changes

Diagnostic notes

  • The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
