Voltage on the malfunction indicator lamp control line is above the expected window. Typical causes are a short to battery or an open lamp.

Common causes

  • High likelihood: Control wire shorted to B+
  • Medium likelihood: Burnt-out MIL bulb
  • Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance
