Exhaust Aftertreatment Fuel Injector A Circuit High

Voltage on the 7th injector control line is above the expected window. Typical causes are a short to battery or an open solenoid coil.

Affected components

  • Hc dosing injector
  • Injector solenoid
  • Wiring harness

Common causes

  • High likelihood: Control wire shorted to B+
  • Medium likelihood: Open injector coil
  • Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance

Possible symptoms

  • Check engine light on
  • Misfire or rough idle on the affected cylinder
  • Increased fuel consumption
  • Possible fuel smell or smoke from exhaust
