Control Module Cooling Fan Circuit Range/Performance

Module cooling fan circuit electrically OK but fan does not run as commanded — bearing seized, blade obstructed, or driver weak.

Common causes

  • High likelihood: Fan motor seized
  • Low likelihood: Gateway module routing CAN messages incorrectly
  • Low likelihood: CAN terminating resistor (120 Ω) drifted out of spec
