2-3 Shift Malfunction
The TCM detects a fault during the 2-to-3 upshift. Gear ratio after shift command does not match third gear expected ratio.
Affected components
- Shift solenoid b
- Transmission clutch pack
- Valve body
Common causes
- High likelihood: Shift solenoid B faulty
- Medium likelihood: 2-3 clutch slipping
Possible symptoms
- Check engine or transmission warning light on
- Harsh, delayed, or missing shifts
- Possible limp mode (locked in one gear)
- Slipping or shuddering during gear changes
