Drive Motor A Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent

The drive motor A rotor position sensor reports a circuit intermittent fault. Phase commutation cannot be controlled reliably.

Common causes

  • High likelihood: Connector not seated
  • Medium likelihood: Noisy ground reference
  • Low likelihood: Connector with intermittent contact under vibration

Possible symptoms

  • EV/hybrid system warning light on
  • Reduced motor power or torque
  • Possible limp mode or vehicle shutdown
