Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Current Sensor A/B Correlation
The signals of HV battery pack current sensors A and B do not correlate within the calibrated tolerance. Sensor drift or harness offset.
Affected components
- Hv battery pack current sensor a
- Hv battery pack current sensor b
- Bms
Common causes
- High likelihood: One sensor drifted
- Medium likelihood: Ground offset between sensors
- Low likelihood: Pack cell imbalance approaching service threshold
Possible symptoms
- EV/hybrid system warning light on
- Reduced power output or limp mode
- Charging may fail or be slowed
- Reduced electric range
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- Reduced-power or limp mode may occur
