Control Pilot Circuit High
The control pilot signal (SAE J1772 / IEC 61851 charging) reports a circuit high condition. EV charging handshake compromised.
Affected components
- Control pilot circuit
- Wiring harness
- Bms
Common causes
- High likelihood: Pilot wire shorted to higher voltage
- Medium likelihood: Pull-down resistor open
- Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance
Possible symptoms
- Charge status indicator shows fault
- Charging may not start or interrupts
- Slower-than-expected charge rate
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
