Fuel Injector Group A Supply Voltage Circuit High

The injector group A supply voltage exceeds the calibrated upper limit. Often a sign of a short to battery voltage on the supply line, an over-charging alternator or an internal driver failure.

Affected components

  • Fuel injector
  • Injector wiring
  • Alternator

Common causes

  • High likelihood: Wire shorted to battery voltage
  • Low likelihood: Charging system overvoltage
  • Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance

Possible symptoms

  • Check engine light on
  • Misfire or rough idle on the affected cylinder
  • Increased fuel consumption
  • Possible fuel smell or smoke from exhaust

Diagnostic notes

  • The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
  • This code can affect emissions
  • A drive cycle may be required after repair
