Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure Sensor Circuit High
Voltage on the DPF pressure sensor line exceeds the upper threshold. Usually a short to supply or an open ground on the sensor.
Affected components
- Dpf differential pressure sensor
- Dpf pressure sensor wiring
Common causes
- High likelihood: Signal shorted to supply
- Medium likelihood: Sensor ground open
- Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance
Possible symptoms
- Check engine light or DPF warning light on
- Power loss / limp mode
- Increased fuel consumption
- Failed forced regeneration attempts
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- This code can affect emissions
- A drive cycle may be required after repair
