Engine Oil Level Too Low
The oil level monitor reports the engine oil level below the safe minimum after sensor checks pass. Continued operation risks bearing damage and oil-pump cavitation, so the ECM sets a critical warning, may reduce torque and asks the driver to add oil immediately.
Affected components
- Engine oil
Common causes
- High likelihood: High oil consumption between services
- Medium likelihood: External oil leak
- Medium likelihood: Missed top-up since last service
