PTO Control Circuit High

Voltage on the PTO engagement control line is above the expected window. Typical causes are a short to battery or an open solenoid coil.

Affected components

  • Pto engagement solenoid
  • Wiring harness

Common causes

  • High likelihood: Control wire shorted to a B+ supply
  • Medium likelihood: Open solenoid coil
  • Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance

  • The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
