Camshaft Position Output Circuit/Open
The camshaft position output signal sent from the ECU to other modules is interrupted. Other systems that rely on the cam reference (e.g. transmission, hybrid module) do not receive a valid signal.

- Camshaft position sensor
- Cmp signal wiring
Common causes
- High likelihood: Open output wiring
- Low likelihood: Internal ECU output driver fault
- Low likelihood: Pin pushed back out of connector body
Possible symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Power loss especially in mid-rpm range
- Possible rough idle or stalling
- Increased fuel consumption

- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- This code can affect emissions
- A drive cycle may be required after repair
