Particulate Filter Feedgas Performance
The ECM detects that the exhaust gas composition reaching the particulate filter (feedgas) deviates from the calibrated profile. Soot input rate cannot be modelled correctly, affecting regen scheduling.
Affected components
- Particulate filter
- Exhaust gas temp sensor pre dpf
Common causes
- High likelihood: Exhaust leak upstream of DPF
- Medium likelihood: EGT sensor pre-DPF drift
Possible symptoms
- Check engine light or DPF warning light on
- Power loss / limp mode
- Increased fuel consumption
- Failed forced regeneration attempts
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- This code can affect emissions
- A drive cycle may be required after repair
- Reduced-power or limp mode may occur
