Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch C/F Voltage Correlation
The redundant throttle or accelerator pedal position channels C and F disagree by more than the allowed tolerance. Drive-by-wire systems compare two or three independent channels to detect a faulty potentiometer track.
Affected components
- Accelerator pedal position sensor
- Throttle position sensor
Common causes
- High likelihood: One potentiometer track worn — voltage drift
- Medium likelihood: Water in pedal connector
Possible symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Reduced throttle response, possible limp mode
- Hesitation or surging
- Idle too high or too low
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- This code can affect emissions
- Reduced-power or limp mode may occur
