Engine Oil Pressure Too Low
The ECU has determined that engine oil pressure is below the safe operating threshold. Caused by low oil level, worn oil pump, severe engine wear, or a stuck pressure relief valve. Continued operation can rapidly destroy the engine.
Affected components
- Oil pump
- Engine oil
- Oil pressure relief valve
Common causes
- High likelihood: Engine oil level too low
- Medium likelihood: Oil pump worn
- Low likelihood: Engine bearings worn
