Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit Stuck On
Same as P06DA with the regulator stuck on - oil pressure remains at the high-output level even at idle, increasing pump losses.
Affected components
- Oil pressure regulator
Common causes
- High likelihood: Regulator stuck on
- Low likelihood: Carbon or debris buildup preventing free movement
- Low likelihood: Component wear with age - mechanical play
Possible symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Possible limp mode or no-start
- Multiple follow-up faults across modules
- Reset/relearn may be needed after repair
