The TCM detects that more than one gear element is engaged simultaneously. Risk of transmission lock-up - severe internal fault.

Common causes
- High likelihood: Valve body failure - solenoids stuck
- Medium likelihood: TCM logic error
Possible symptoms
- Check engine or transmission warning light on
- Harsh, delayed, or missing shifts
- Possible limp mode (locked in one gear)
- Slipping or shuddering during gear changes

- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- Reduced-power or limp mode may occur
