Motor Electronics Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit
The hybrid control module detects an out-of-range signal from the temperature sensor of the inverter/motor electronics coolant loop. This sensor protects power electronics from overheating.
Affected components
- Motor electronics coolant temperature sensor
- Hybrid inverter
- Wiring harness
Common causes
- High likelihood: Temperature sensor failed
- Medium likelihood: Wiring or connector fault
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
