BMS detects HV pack temperature above the safe operating limit, triggering thermal protection mode and limiting charge/discharge.

Common causes
- High likelihood: Cooling fan or pump failure
- Medium likelihood: Extreme ambient temperature
Possible symptoms
- EV/hybrid system warning light on
- Reduced power output or limp mode
- Charging may fail or be slowed
- Reduced electric range
