Control Pilot Charging Ventilation Switch Stuck On
The control pilot charging ventilation switch reports a stuck on condition. The on-board charger negotiates voltage, current and safety with the EVSE; a fault interrupts charging or limits it to AC slow-charge despite a DC fast charger being attached.
Affected components
- Control pilot ventilation switch
- Wiring harness
- Bms
Common causes
- High likelihood: Contacts welded closed
- Medium likelihood: Driver stuck on
- Low likelihood: Carbon or debris buildup preventing free movement
Possible symptoms
- Charge status indicator shows fault
- Charging may not start or interrupts
- Slower-than-expected charge rate
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
