Battery Charger Coolant Control Valve Control Circuit Low
The battery charger coolant control valve reports a control circuit low condition. The on-board charger negotiates voltage, current and safety with the EVSE; a fault interrupts charging or limits it to AC slow-charge despite a DC fast charger being attached.
Affected components
- Battery charger coolant valve
- Wiring harness
- Bms
Common causes
- High likelihood: Wire shorted to ground
- Medium likelihood: Coil internal short
- Low likelihood: Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance
Possible symptoms
- Charge status indicator shows fault
- Charging may not start or interrupts
- Slower-than-expected charge rate
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- Reduced-power or limp mode may occur
