Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 Performance
The high-pressure fuel pressure regulator (volume control or pressure control valve on a direct-injection rail) is not maintaining commanded pressure. Often the rail-pressure sensor reading drifts away from the setpoint under load.

- High likelihood: Pressure regulator worn or sticking
- Medium likelihood: High-pressure pump weak
- Low likelihood: Rail pressure sensor drift

- Hard start, no start, or stalling under load
- Power loss especially at high load or rpm
- Possible long cranking time
