Fuel Injector Calibration Not Learned/Programmed
After injector replacement the engine controller did not receive the per-injector flow calibration codes (IMA, ISA, IMV). Cylinder balance and emissions are out of tolerance.
Affected components
- Fuel injectors
- Control module
Common causes
- High likelihood: Injector calibration codes not entered after replacement
- Medium likelihood: Wrong codes entered for the wrong cylinder positions
Possible symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Misfire or rough idle on the affected cylinder
- Increased fuel consumption
- Possible fuel smell or smoke from exhaust
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- This code can affect emissions
