Gear Shift Direction Circuit
The gear-shift direction circuit cannot detect the commanded shift direction (up or down) on an automated manual or sequential transmission.

- High likelihood: Open sensor or broken signal wire
- Medium likelihood: Corroded sensor connector
Possible symptoms
- Check engine or transmission warning light on
- Harsh, delayed, or missing shifts

- Slipping or shuddering during gear changes
