Drive Motor "A" Phase X Current
The hybrid control module detects a generic fault on phase X current measurement of drive motor A. The drive motor's position, current and temperature are watched continuously; a fault here downgrades the inverter to a safe operating point or triggers torque reduction.
Affected components
- Drive motor a
- Drive motor a phase x
- Inverter
Common causes
- High likelihood: Phase current sensor failed
- Medium likelihood: Wiring or connector fault
Possible symptoms
- EV/hybrid system warning light on
- Reduced motor power or torque
- Possible limp mode or vehicle shutdown
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- Reduced-power or limp mode may occur
