Software Incompatibility with Anti-Lock Brake System Control Module
The ABS controller advertises a software version not supported by the rest of the vehicle network. ABS, ESP and ASR functions are usually disabled until coding is corrected.

- High likelihood: Wrong ABS software flashed
- Low likelihood: Gateway module routing CAN messages incorrectly
- Low likelihood: CAN terminating resistor (120 Ω) drifted out of spec

- Multiple warning lights may illuminate
- Affected modules may go into limp mode or shut down
- Specific functions inoperative depending on module
- Diagnostic tools may show communication faults
